Every Room. One Team.

Full-home remodels, structural work, exterior renovations, and finish carpentry — one licensed GC, one fixed-price contract, every permit.

The Right Image Approach

The Full Picture,
Managed Completely

Most homeowners who've hired a general contractor before have a story. The GC who managed the job from a distance while their subs ran the site. The one who was great at the sales meeting and absent during construction. The one whose fixed-price contract turned into a series of change orders that nobody explained clearly until the invoice arrived. These experiences are why so many LA homeowners are skeptical of contractors — and why we operate differently.

Right Image Builders is built around a simple idea: the owner of the company is the project manager of the project. Vladimir Svirsky — CSLB licensed, 12+ years in Los Angeles — visits every major milestone on every project we build. He doesn't manage from an office. He's on the slab during the pour, in the attic during the insulation inspection, and at the kitchen cabinet install to make sure the uppers are level. That personal accountability is the reason our reviews read the way they do.

We don't subcontract out core trades to the lowest bidder. Our in-house team handles structural framing, finish carpentry, tile, cabinetry installation, and drywall. We coordinate licensed plumbing, electrical, and HVAC subcontractors who work with us regularly — not whoever's available on short notice. The result is a project where trades show up on schedule, the quality is consistent throughout, and you don't discover problems at the end that existed from the beginning.

Every project we build is permitted. Not because we're required to tell you that, but because a permitted project protects your investment, your insurance, and your ability to sell the house cleanly. In Los Angeles, unpermitted work is a disclosure liability. We don't create those problems — we solve them.

What We Manage

Full Scope,
One Accountable Team

01

Full Interior Renovation

Complete gut-and-rebuild of interior spaces — demo, framing, insulation, drywall, all finish work: kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, interior doors and hardware, trim and millwork, paint. Multiple rooms coordinated through a single schedule so trades aren't waiting on each other and your project doesn't stretch three months longer than it should.

02

Structural & Framing Work

Load-bearing wall removal and beam installation, floor joist sistering and repair, cripple wall reinforcement, seismic bolting and bracing, foundation crack repair, and new room framing for additions. We coordinate licensed structural engineering under our contract — you don't hire a structural engineer separately and then manage the handoff to us. The engineering and the execution are under one roof.

03

MEP — Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing

200A electrical panel upgrades and sub-panel additions, full plumbing reroutes for new layouts, HVAC replacement and zoning systems, ductwork reconfiguration, mini-split systems for additions, gas line relocation, tankless water heater installation, and smart home rough-in (structured wiring, lighting control, AV pre-wire). All MEP trades are licensed subcontractors who work with our team regularly.

04

Exterior & Curb Appeal

Three-coat stucco application and repair, James Hardie fiber cement siding, new windows and sliding doors (Milgard, Andersen, Marvin), entry door replacement, garage door replacement, new exterior paint systems, fascia and soffit replacement, seamless gutters and downspouts, and landscaping coordination for post-construction restoration.

05

Finish Carpentry & Millwork

Custom built-ins (bookcases, window seats, mudroom lockers, entertainment centers), crown molding and base in classic and contemporary profiles, wainscoting and board-and-batten, custom fireplace surrounds, coffered and tray ceilings, closet systems, and paneled walls. Our in-house carpenters do finish work that looks like furniture — not afterthought trim.

06

Project Management & Permits

Single point of contact for every question, every decision, every issue. Detailed milestone schedule issued before construction starts and updated throughout. All permits — building, structural, MEP — applied for, tracked, and closed under our license. Vladimir on-site at every critical milestone. Final walkthrough with a written punch list — last payment not due until every punch list item is complete.

General Contractor FAQ

Questions We
Hear Every Day

What does a general contractor actually do?+
A licensed general contractor (Class B license in California) manages the full scope of a construction or remodeling project — pulling permits, coordinating specialty trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), managing the construction schedule, and serving as the single point of accountability from contract to final inspection. When you hire a GC, you have one party responsible for the entire project. When you hire trades separately, you're the GC — managing every sub, every schedule conflict, every permit correction, and every warranty dispute.
How much does a full home remodel cost in Los Angeles?+
A full home remodel in Los Angeles typically costs $150–$400+ per square foot depending on scope and finish level. A mid-range full remodel of a 2,000 sq ft home — new kitchen, two bathrooms, flooring, paint, and some structural work — runs $300,000–$600,000. A high-end remodel with premium finishes, significant structural work, and custom millwork can exceed $800,000. We provide fixed-price proposals after a thorough site walkthrough — not square-footage estimates that expand after demo.
How long does a full home renovation take in Los Angeles?+
A full home renovation in Los Angeles typically takes 4–12 months depending on scope. A complete interior renovation with no structural work runs 4–6 months of construction (plus 4–8 weeks for permit approval beforehand). Projects involving structural changes, additions, or foundation work take 6–10 months of construction. We issue a detailed milestone schedule before construction begins — not a single end-date that shifts every month.
Do you handle all permits for a full home renovation?+
Yes, completely. We handle every permit — building, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. In Greater LA, different agencies have jurisdiction over different projects: LADBS covers much of the county, but Beverly Hills, Burbank, Pasadena, Santa Monica, and other cities have their own building departments. We navigate all of them and manage all permit submissions, plan check responses, and inspection scheduling. You never visit a permit office.
What is the difference between a general contractor and a handyman?+
In California, a licensed general contractor (Class B) is legally authorized to bid and manage projects over $500, pull building permits, and coordinate licensed specialty subcontractors. A handyman is limited by law to projects under $500 per trade and cannot legally pull permits or act as a contractor. For any remodel involving structural changes, electrical panel work, plumbing reroutes, or anything requiring a building permit, a licensed GC is legally required. Unlicensed work on permitted projects creates serious disclosure issues when you sell.

We gave Right Image Builders the keys to our 1962 ranch home and asked them to bring it into the 21st century. They delivered — new kitchen, two bathrooms, hardwood floors throughout, new windows, and a structural wall removal for open concept — all under one fixed-price contract. Vladimir was personally on-site throughout. Best decision we've made as homeowners.
